Job summary

Swabian Instruments in Boston seeks a results-driven technical sales professional to bridge cutting-edge measurement solutions with researchers. You will own opportunities end-to-end, demonstrate value, and guide researchers through decision-making from discovery to close.

Engage in inbound/outbound sales, build deep customer relationships, and collaborate with Product/Engineering to sharpen roadmaps, while maintaining accurate CRM data and forecast.

Qualifications

• Education in physics, optics, engineering, materials science or related quantitative field.
• Demonstrated ability to learn complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly.
• Willingness to engage in both inbound and outbound sales activities.

Responsibilities

• Own qualified opportunities end-to-end, from first technical conversation through demonstration, negotiation, and close.
• Run structured discovery with researchers and engineers to map our solutions to their measurement problems.
• Lead demonstrations, evaluations, and PoC engagements with defined success criteria.
• Configure, present, and defend quotations while navigating multi-stakeholder budgets.
• Own the customer relationship post-close and drive onboarding with Application Scientists.
• Self-source new pipeline and expand accounts through customer visits, trade shows, and conferences.
• Provide win/loss and product-gap insights to Roadmap and Engineering.
• Keep HubSpot pipeline and forecast data up to date.
