Teradyne in North Reading, MA or Austin, TX seeks a Photonics Field Product Specialist to join our Silicon Photonics Test business. You will work with engineering and field applications to develop strategic customer relationships and deliver impactful demonstrations.

Requirements include a minimum BSEE or BSCS, 8+ years in photonics product development or management, and excellent communication. Expect up to 40% travel domestically and internationally as you define projects and present tailored

Qualifications

• Minimum BSEE, BSCS or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years industry experience in photonics.
• 3+ years photonics product development or management experience.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to customers, Sales, FAE’s and staff while communicating technical information clearly.
• Master Teradyne products, applications and policies.
• Develop, present, and respond to proposals for customer requirements.
• Identify customer challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Develop and deliver product demonstrations to display value to prospects and clients.
• Collaborate with customers to define projects and identify new opportunities.
• Communicate application sizing and competitive position of products.
• Build relationships with customers, focusing on technical decision makers.
• Stay informed on competitors, industry trends and Teradyne product lines.
