Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Photo Team. You will work with a talented group to establish and maintain world-class process/equipment and drive yield enhancement while solving complex manufacturing problems.

You will monitor wafer fabrication, qualify processes on new tools, coordinate qualifications, analyze data with software, and implement process changes to improve capability. This role is on-site in Austin and requires a strong engineering background.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering or related field with 3.0 GPA+ for new grads.
• Experience scripting in Python or VBA.
• Familiarity with statistical methods and Change Point Management.
• Understanding Lean, TPS or 5S principles.
• Structured problem solving and data analysis software experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wafer fabrication process and respond to inline issues.
• Qualify wafer fabrication processes on new tools.
• Coordinate scheduling of process qualifications and downtime.
• Use software to analyze data and identify trends.
• Make adjustments when parameters exceed limits and monitor tools after maintenance.
• Execute in-line changes to process or equipment.
• Communicate technical information through presentations.
• Revise SOPs and develop improved processes to increase capability.
