Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a process engineer to join the Photo Team. You will work with a skilled group to establish and maintain world-class processes and equipment, driving yield improvements and solving complex issues.

The role requires data analysis, scripting, and strong problem-solving skills in a 24x7 FAB environment. On-site duties, with focus on process qualifications and SOP improvements.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Computer Science (3.0 GPA or better for new grads).
• Experience scripting in Python, VBA, or equivalent language.
• Understanding of statistical methods and Change Point Management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wafer fabrication process and disposition production wafers.
• Qualify wafer fabrication processes on new tools.
• Coordinate process qualifications and equipment downtime with manufacturing or equipment engineering.
• Use software to analyze data and identify trends for process decisions.
• Adjust processes when parameters are exceeded and monitor tools after maintenance.
• Execute in-line changes to process or equipment.
• Communicate technical information within the department.
