Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Phone Triage Registered Nurse for Baptist Pediatrics in San Jose. The RN will perform telephone triage, support 10 providers, and work in a busy, fast-paced office, coordinating care and documenting interactions.

Eligibility requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, active RN license, and BLS. Prior clinical experience is preferred. This role emphasizes strong communication with patients and families and efficient prior authorization management.

The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse is phone triage. They will support 10 providers and this is a busy, fast-paced office. We are looking for someone who is highly organized and comfortable interacting with patients face to face.

Phone Triage Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities:

• Triage telephone calls
• Interpret symptoms and communicating plan of care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans
• Manage prior authorizations for medications
• Coordinate workflow pertaining to clinical questions
• Additional responsibilities may be required based upon office needs
• Room/triage patients for providers
• Reviewing the clinical messages that come through the portal and responding to them
• Using strong communication and documentation skills

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
