Job summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Phone Triage Registered Nurse at Baptist Pediatrics on San Jose in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time day-shift role supports 10 providers and requires strong organization and patient interaction in a busy pediatric office.

The RN will triage telephone calls, interpret symptoms, educate patients and families, and manage medication prior authorizations within the clinic workflow. ADN, BLS, and an active RN license are required.

Qualifications

• RN with experience in phone triage or triage calls preferred.
• Ability to interpret symptoms and communicate plan of care.
• Strong communication and documentation skills in a busy clinical office environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage telephone calls and interpret symptoms; communicate care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans.
• Manage prior authorizations for medications and coordinate workflow for clinical questions.
• Room/triage patients for providers and review portal messages; respond appropriately.
