Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant or LPN certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Proficient in basic computer use and EHR documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and professional communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triages calls, assesses urgency, and determines next steps.
• Communicates care needs and test results with patients clearly.
• Documents all patient interactions in the EHR in real time.
• Provides basic education and counseling for labs or behavioral health services.
• Interprets for patients when qualified.
• Advocates for patient rights and ensures culturally appropriate care.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality and compliance.
• Completes required staff training (HIPAA, OSHA, updates).
