Job summary

HOPE Clinic is seeking a Behavioral Health Patient Support Specialist to greet patients, handle registration and payments, and support the Behavioral Health team. The position requires at least a year in health-related patient support, strong customer service, and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in health education, patient navigation, and/or health clinic patient assistance field.
• Ability to work independently with strong focus and task orientation.
• Ability to work with culturally diverse families and communities with cultural sensitivity.
• Comprehends fundamental medical terminologies in medical care delivery.
• HIPAA privacy knowledge and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration and payments.
• Support day-to-day administrative operations of the Behavioral Health department.
• Serve as a liaison between Behavioral Health and other internal departments.
• Perform registration, scheduling, check-in/out and payment processing with excellent customer service.
• Maintain Behavioral Health logs, statistics and reports.
• Provide cross-functional support during staffing shortages or high patient volume.
• Coordinate with clinic managers regarding psychiatric and counseling services.
