Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support AMHS sustaining efforts in Phoenix. You will perform maintenance and repairs on automated material handling systems, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues, and ensure optimal system performance.

The role requires 12+ months of hands-on experience in industrial environments, an associate degree or technical cert, and strong PC skills.

Qualifications

12+ months of hands-on experience in maintenance or repair of industrial equipment or automation systems.
Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on training in mechanical/electrical/mechatronics.
Basic knowledge of electrical diagnostic instruments and shop tools.
Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
PC skills (MS Office, Excel, Windows).
Excellent customer satisfaction skills.
Willingness to travel and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on AMHS.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and software issues.
Analyze system logs and errors to identify root causes.
Verify software revisions and hardware status during maintenance.
Install, configure, and validate hardware/software updates.
Document maintenance actions and equipment status reports.
Support uptime and reliability through sustained activities.
Escalate complex issues to engineering and assist with data collection.
