Job summary

The American Red Cross in Michigan is seeking a frontline donor services phlebotomist to support mobile blood drives. You will engage volunteers and donors, transport and set up equipment, and ensure a welcoming, safe environment throughout the collection process.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided, and you will grow your healthcare skills within the nation's leading humanitarian organization. A valid driver's license, high school diploma, and strong customer service are required, with weekend

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights and long hours; a minimum height of 60 inches may be required to operate vehicles.
• Basic computer skills are required; proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take time to personally connect with donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Be detail oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals and regulatory requirements.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and set up/tear down equipment at donation sites; height requirement may apply.
