Job summary

The American Red Cross in Michigan is seeking a phlebotomy‑ready team member to support mobile blood drives. You will use healthcare or customer service skills to assist with the blood collection process, set up equipment, and create a welcoming environment for donors.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided; schedule is variable and may include weekends and holidays. Starting pay is $19.38/hour with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights and stand for long periods; may require 60 inches minimum height to operate vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to personally connect with donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Be detail oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals, regulatory requirements, and can be transfused safely.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and set up/tear down equipment at donation sites; minimum height of 60 inches may be required.
