Job summary

The American Red Cross in Michigan is seeking staff for donor services/phlebotomy roles. Paid phlebotomy training is provided; no prior medical experience required. You will support blood collection at local sites and help ensure a welcoming donor experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights and stand for long periods; may require a minimum height of 60 inches.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to connect with donors and explain how impactful their donation is.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment so donors feel comfortable re visiting.
• Be detail oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals and regulatory requirements.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and set up/tear down equipment at donation sites; height requirement may apply.
