Job summary

The American Red Cross is hiring for a role supporting mobile blood drives and donor services in Michigan. You will engage donors, assist with the blood collection process, and help ensure a welcoming experience while maintaining safety standards.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided to develop healthcare skills within a respected humanitarian organization. A dynamic schedule may include early shifts, weekends, and holidays to serve the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills required.
• A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights and stand for long periods; schedule changes and early mornings may be required.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Connect with donors to explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Be detail-oriented to ensure collected blood meets regulatory requirements and can be transfused.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and set up/tear down equipment at donation sites; height requirement may apply (60 inches).
