Sonora Quest Laboratories/ Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking a Phlebotomy leader for the evening shift in Sun City, AZ. This role supervises technical and administrative tasks, coordinates workflow, and ensures regulatory compliance across CAP/CLIA environments.

The position emphasizes quality control, safety, and interdepartmental collaboration while providing mentorship and overseeing day‑to‑day operations within the procurement‑Boswell department.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate’s degree in an Allied Health or related field.
• 1 year of experience in an SQL/LSA clinical laboratory environment OR 2 years of leadership/training experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching and people management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Strong organization and planning skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
• Advanced computer skills across multiple systems including LIS/HIS.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational oversight for the shift, schedule planning, and workflow management.
• Ensure QA/QC practices and instrument maintenance records meet accrediting standards.
• Monitor section finances, supply usage, and expense control initiatives.
• Lead staff training, orientation, and performance development.
• Collaborate with clinicians and lab staff; participate in committees and cross‑functional teams.
