Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Idaho's Treasure Valley is seeking Phlebotomist Technicians for our Laboratory Draw Centers. You will apply your phlebotomy and Lab Tech experience to collect blood samples, identify patients, and process specimens with accuracy.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 40 hours weekly, with shifts between 6:45am and 5:15pm. Candidates should have strong communication, computer skills, and a high school diploma; phlebotomy certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples and correctly identify patients.
• Transport specimens and perform related clerical tasks.
• Register, order, label, process and distribute specimens for lab testing.
• Utilize computer programs and perform data entry; communicate with the lab team.
