Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Central Processing Tech in Boise, Idaho. This part-time evening position leverages your phlebotomy and lab experience to support the Treasure Valley Labs. You will ensure specimen quality, assist with billing, and coordinate testing workflows within the EMR system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some college or an associate degree preferred.
• Experience with phlebotomy or lab work is advantageous.
• Previous hospital or reference lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities in the central processing area of the clinical laboratory.
• Ensure quality and quantity of specimens for in-house and reference testing.
• Handle billing functions for reference laboratories.
• Register patient specimens received from outside locations.
• Collaborate with TVL laboratories for all specimens received for testing.
• Serve as a resource for laboratory test questions and for ordering tests in the EMR.
• Report to the POCT Laboratory Coordinator.
