Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System seeks Phlebotomy Technicians for its Laboratory Draw Centers located across the Treasure Valley. The role leverages your phlebotomy and lab tech experience to collect samples, identify patients, transport specimens, and perform related clerical tasks.

This is a PRN, part-time position across various locations and shifts. Shifts are generally 6:45am to 5:15pm, Monday–Friday, with no health insurance or paid time off offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples and correctly identify patients.
• Transport specimens and perform related clerical and computer functions.
• Register, order, proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing.
• Utilize relevant computer programs and perform data entry; act as central communication of the laboratory.
