Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, ID is seeking Phlebotomist Technicians for our Laboratory Draw Centers across the Treasure Valley. This Full-time Day shift role leverages your phlebotomy and lab tech experience to support patient care.

You will collect samples, identify patients, transport specimens, and perform related clerical and data-entry tasks using hospital computer systems. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma; phlebotomy certification preferred; hospital-setting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred.
• Experience with phlebotomy in hospital settings is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.

Position Summary & Highlights

We are seeking Phlebotomist Technicians for our Laboratory Draw Centers which are located across the Treasure Valley. In this role you can make a difference by applying your current phlebotomy/Lab Tech experience and skills.

Schedule

40 hours per week
Monday-Friday working between 6:45am and 5:15pm

What you will do

Our ideal candidate under the general direction of the supervisor, the phlebotomist collects blood samples, correctly identifies patients, transports specimens and performs all related clerical and computer functions.
As a Phlebotomy Tech at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will perform the manual tasks involved with registering, ordering, proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages. You will be responsible for utilizing relevant computer programs and perform data entry. You'll serve as the central communication of the laboratory for all incoming requests as well as maintaining quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories and the reporting of results received.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.
