Qualifications

• High School diploma and completion of a recognized phlebotomy training program.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of employment.
• Maintenance of annual BLS competencies is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary phlebotomy with appropriate specimen collection equipment.
• Review physician requisitions to ensure tests meet Medical Necessity guidelines and obtain signatures as needed.
• Perform EKG, pulse oximetry and point‑of‑care testing as requested and maintain QC on instruments.
• Process specimens (centrifugation, labeling, packaging) and enter patient data for registration.
• May create registrations for outreach specimens in the ADT system.
