Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist II Site Lead in Saint Augustine, FL, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with rotational weekends.

This role directs daily activity at a Patient Service Center or In-Office Phlebotomy site and may lead multiple PSR staff on-site. You will draw blood samples in a safe, accurate manner, ensure compliance with SOPs, and support patient flow and data integrity across locations.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric,and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations and required to cover at Patient Service Center/Mobile/Long-Term Care/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify all orders.
• Complete data entry of patient registration and test orders.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Data entry and processing of specimens including labeling, centrifuging, and freezing.
• Perform departmental-related clerical duties
• Verify patient demographic info and initials post-venipuncture
• Assist with compiling monthly statistics and data
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs
• Complete training courses and keep up-to-date with techniques
• Travel to Territory Manager meetings as needed
• Participate on special projects and teams
• Distribute technical information to work group
• Perform POC testing where needed and handle training/evaluations
• Mentor new employees and assist with transitions
• Assist with inventory counts and scheduling
• Communicate professionally with clients and document issues
• Ensure safety precautions are followed
• Assist with SOP implementations and facility maintenance
• Serve as on-site coach and resource for staff
