Job summary

Natera is seeking a Phlebotomist to serve patients by selecting optimal blood collection methods and preparing specimens for lab testing. You will also act as an operations manager for the designated patient service center, overseeing the phlebotomy program at the Olympia location and potentially supervising other phlebotomists to support patient volume growth.

This role is based in Olympia, WA and requires adherence to HIPAA/PHI privacy and company policies.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience of 5+ years required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, depending on state regulations.
• Bilingual language skills preferred.
• Experience supervising phlebotomy operations and teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies test requisitions and resolves discrepancies with leadership.
• Identifies patients and performs venipuncture and finger sticks.
• Maintains specimen integrity using aseptic technique and procedures.
• Tracks specimens and records collections in the Natera system.
• Ensures quality results and documents changes and KPIs biweekly.
• Maintains safe work environment and complies with regulations.
• Coordinates with physicians, nursing and labs on orders.
• Oversees PSC phlebotomy operations and may supervise other phlebotomists.
