Job summary

Natera is seeking a Phlebotomist to serve patients at our Olympia, WA PSC, identifying the best blood collection methods and preparing specimens for testing. The role also acts as an operations manager, overseeing the phlebotomy program and possibly supervising other phlebotomists to support patient volume growth.

You will verify requisitions, collect blood samples, maintain specimen integrity, log collections, and report KPIs to leadership. HIPAA/PHI privacy training is required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• 5+ years high-level customer care experience.
• Phlebotomy Certification (or equivalent) preferred, except where regulatory regulations are mandated depending upon state.
• BS/BA degree preferred; High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies test requisitions by comparing information with orders and requisition documentation.
• Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
• Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique and following procedures.
• Tracks collected specimens and logs times of collection; maintains tallies in Natera system.
• Resolves unusual test orders by contacting physicians or labs and notifies internal teams.
