Job Title: Patient Services Representative II

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of our company to patients, assisting with health routines or providing insights into health decisions. The PSR II is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information. They create a trustworthy environment by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws skillfully and safely. The PSR II may be assigned to various locations based on business needs, including doctor’s offices and patient service centers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform daily activities accurately and timely under supervision.
2. Maintain a safe, professional environment.
3. Conduct forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established protocols.
4. Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling and documentation of specimens.
5. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
6. Promote a positive image and demonstrate organizational commitment.

Job Requirements

1. Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
3. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
4. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
5. Adherence to all policies and safety procedures.
6. Good judgment and decision-making skills.
7. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
8. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations.
9. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
10. Superior customer focus and excellent communication skills.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Minimum three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
