Description/Comment: The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, assisting with blood sample collection and ensuring a trustworthy environment. The role involves performing blood draws, verifying patient information, maintaining records, and demonstrating leadership and process excellence. The PSR II may work in various settings, including doctor's offices and patient service centers, based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily activities accurately and timely under supervision.
2. Maintain a safe and professional environment.
3. Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens following established procedures.
4. Verify patient demographic info and labels to ensure accuracy.
5. Maintain required records and documentation.
6. Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
• Independence and minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Adherence to policies, safety, and dress code.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
• Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations with short notice.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in high-volume environments.

Training Locations: May vary based on trainer availability.

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred; phlebotomy certification preferred in certain states.

Work Experience: Minimum three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections; two years in a Patient Service Center preferred; retail or service customer experience preferred; keyboard/data entry skills required.
