Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) interacts directly with patients, drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing following established practices. The role involves creating a trusting environment, explaining procedures, and demonstrating leadership behaviors focused on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy. Assignments may vary between doctor's offices, patient service centers, or other locations as needed.
- Perform daily activities accurately and punctually under the supervision of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing confidently, adhering to established procedures.
- Verify patient demographic information and initials, including post-venipuncture signature, to ensure proper labeling and identification.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

- Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Adherence to all policies and procedures, including dress code, safety, and guiding principles.
- Good judgment and decision-making based on established procedures.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Superior customer focus and effective communication skills with peers, supervisors, and patients.
- Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
- At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Preferred: Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment.
- Experience in customer service within retail or service sectors preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
Additional Job Details:
- Candidate must have reliable transportation to the worksite; public transportation or rideshare services are not considered reliable. Must be punctual, available for scheduled shifts, and stay for the entire shift. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may lead to termination.
- Verify commute time to ensure within a 20-25 minute travel window to the work location.
