Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is seeking a Phlebotomist II for their Hendersonville, NC location.

Responsibilities:

1. The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients, whether as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
2. Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures.
3. Establish trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures clearly and drawing blood specimens safely, accurately, and skillfully.
4. Demonstrate leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
5. Under the supervision of the area manager, perform daily activities accurately and punctually, maintaining a safe, professional environment. Handle forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties per established protocols. Keep accurate records and documentation, and promote a positive image to patients, clients, staff, and the public.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred.
• At least 3 years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Patient Service Center environment is preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service settings is preferred.
• Keyboard and data entry skills are essential.
