The Phlebotomist III- Float is the face of our company to patients visiting Quest Diagnostics, whether as part of their routine health checks or for critical health insights. This role involves drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, adhering to established procedures. The Phlebotomist III- Float interacts directly with patients, fostering trust and confidence by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately.
This position requires coverage across multiple locations and roles, ensuring daily activities in Patient Service Centers, Mobile units, Long Term Care, and In-Office settings are completed accurately and timely. The Phlebotomist III- Float demonstrates leadership qualities, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. Responsibilities may include working in doctors' offices, patient service centers, house call environments, or long-term care facilities, depending on business needs.
The role may involve leading or coaching other staff, mentoring new employees, and providing onboarding and support. The Phlebotomist III- Float may handle complex cases requiring advanced skills, including high-volume or specialized practices, and must possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills across various functions such as Sales, Laboratory Testing, IT, Billing, and Logistics.
