Hours: Vary Between 6am to 6pm (float between Cheshire, Prospect, Waterbury, and Southbury)

Job Description:
- The Phlebotomist III - Float represents the face of our company to patients who come to ***, either as part of their routine health checks or for critical health decisions.
- The Phlebotomist III - Float draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.
- They have direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explaining procedures clearly, and drawing blood in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
- The role involves providing coverage at multiple locations and roles, ensuring daily activities in Patient Service Centers, Mobile units, Long Term Care, or In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and timely.
- The Phlebotomist III - Float demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
- Successful candidates may work in a doctor's office, patient service center, house call environment, long-term care, or as dictated by business needs.
- Must be able to step in for a Phlebotomist III - Float and lead on-site staff, acting as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor for new employees, providing onboarding and acting as a point of contact.
- May focus on high-complexity or high-volume practices requiring advanced phlebotomy skills, along with superior customer-facing skills including communication, problem-solving, and collaboration across multiple functions such as Sales, Laboratory Testing, IT, Billing, and Logistics.
- Must handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting effectively.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training preferred: medical assistant or paramedic training.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
- Minimum five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- At least 3 years in a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service settings preferred.
- Keyboard and data entry experience.
