Job summary

Qualifications

• Phlebotomist Certification preferred; Louisiana required.
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and courteously.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explains venipuncture and specimen collection procedures clearly to patients; helps reduce anxiety.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and process specimens as required by test orders.
• Enter patient, specimen, billing and insurance information into PathConnect or related systems.
• Maintains daily records and logs; assists with monthly statistics and data as needed.
• Adheres to PPE and lab safety policies and maintains clean, organized work area.
