Job summary

Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to perform specimen collection, processing, and related clerical duties in a fast-paced lab setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• ASPT certification is preferred.
• Two years of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes specimens accurately and registers orders adhering to lab policies.
• Collects specimens (blood, urine) from patients using proper technique.
• Instructs patients on specimen collection to ensure proper timing and method.
• Delivers specimens to appropriate departments and monitors requests for timely compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.
