Job summary

The Health Alliance in Newark, OH is seeking a part-time Phlebotomy/Patient Services Assistant to collect specimens, verify orders, and handle data entry and billing tasks. You will support daily lab operations, maintain logs, and assist with inventory while ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

Ideal candidates have phlebotomy skills, high school diploma, and flexibility for weekends/holidays. Training on MAKO procedures and safety policies will be provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens per established procedures (drug screens, blood samples).
• Verify and reconcile orders using lab systems and service directory.
• Enter patient registration and test orders accurately; ensure data integrity.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required, safeguarding payments.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens per test orders; data entry for processing.
• Work with iLabs daily for billing accuracy; assist with monthly statistics.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and training on latest techniques; travel if required.
• Support inventory, clerical duties, phone coverage and adherence to policies.
