Job summary

MAKO in Union City, GA is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist/Patient Services team member to collect specimens, verify orders, and perform data entry with accuracy. The role involves handling billing data, maintaining logs, and supporting quality assurance within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, phlebotomy certification preferred (required in certain states), and at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.
• Phlebotomy certification or formal medical training preferred.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to procedures (drug screens, blood samples, pathology and cytology).
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems.
• Data entry of patient registration and test orders; enter billing information as needed.
• Label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Work with iLabs for assigned accounts daily to ensure accurate billing data.
• Provide CIR and PPE Resolution reporting to Director as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training; assist with departmental duties.
