Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems or directory of services.
• Enter patient registration and test orders into requisition; data entry.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Data entry and processing of specimens including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing.
• Work with iLabs for assigned accounts daily to ensure accurate data for billing.
• Provide CIR and PPE Resolution reporting to Director as required.
• Perform clerical duties such as data entry, inventory, and answering phones when needed.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures and ensure staff follow instructions.
• Verify patient demographic info and labels post-venipuncture to confirm accuracy.
• Assist with compilation and submission of monthly statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs as required.
• Complete training courses and stay up-to-date with phlebotomy techniques.
• Travel to Territory Manager meetings if held off-site.
• Participate on special projects and teams.
• Stay up-to-date on company communications.
