Qualifications

• Demonstrated high performance with progressive responsibilities and the ability to work independently with a diverse staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitors activities to ensure laboratory specimens are collected using standard work and provide exceptional customer service.
• Ensures blood-drawing areas are cleaned and stocked according to policy; assists with orders, inventory control, and product changes.
• Oversees orientation and training of new employees, students, and staff in specimen collection, handling and compliance; ensures staff competence.
• Prepares work schedules and daily assignments; coordinates time off requests and breaks with workload; oversees time and attendance records.
• Provides input for performance appraisals and corrective actions as needed.
