Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join our Good Samaritan location in Illinois. The role supports specimen collection, processing, and QA activities while supervising and training staff and students. There is a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and patient care.

The position requires at least 3 years in phlebotomy, a high school diploma, and the ability to work a rotating schedule including evenings. Competitive benefits accompany this full-time role.

Qualifications

• 3 years of phlebotomy or related lab experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a group of employees.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills including experience using software applications.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train staff and students; provide day-to-day work direction.
• Assist with HR responsibilities including interviewing and staff development.
• Coordinate workflow: specimen collection, processing, ordering, and inventory.
• Investigate procedure/performance issues and assist leadership in resolution.
