Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verifies positive patient identification to ensure patient safety.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Ensures specimens are properly labeled and suitable for testing.
• Packages, tracks, and transports specimens for testing.
• Orders and verifies test requests; documents information for QA/QA processes.
• Runs quality control checks and notifies providers of abnormal results.
