Qualifications

• Phlebotomy Certificate and license if applicable.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy professionally and with compassion for the patient.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and proper specimen handling.
• Ensure requisitions contain demographic, diagnosis and payer information.
• Assist compliance with Medicare/LMRP guidelines when required.
• Accurately collect specimens and communicate test ordering needs.
• Keep draw station stocked and inform supervisor of schedule.
