Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, Missouri is hiring a Lab Support Technician I to join the Laboratory Department. The LST I provides essential support for reports, data, and scheduling, ensuring accurate and timely laboratory processes while upholding Mercy's Signature Service.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED or enrolled in a healthcare career program.
• Successful completion of probationary period.
• No active disciplinary actions or active performance improvement plans.
• Preferred: college-level Chemistry, Biology or other Science courses.
• Experience: Previous experience in a clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely laboratory support.
• Assist in specimen collection and processing.
• Transport and refer laboratory specimens and reports as required.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality in all interactions.
