Formación

• High school or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited Phlebotomy program.
• 1 year phlebotomy experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) per CA DPH.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain blood samples by venipuncture or capillary methods.
• Screen specimens for acceptability per guidelines.
• Deliver blood products and surgical specimens as required.
• Process, distribute, or package all specimens received.
• Handle inquiries about lab results, specimen status, and general information.
• Communicate professionally with patients, co-workers, and guests.
• Adhere to Hospital and Department policies.
• Perform additional clinical and clerical duties as needed.
• Participate in Department quality improvement program.
