Keck Medicine of USC Arcadia Hospital in Arcadia, CA is seeking a capable phlebotomist to join our clinical laboratory team. The role involves venipuncture, specimen collection, labeling, and processing for laboratory testing.

Strong attention to patient safety, accurate paperwork, and aseptic technique are essential. The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, plus CA Phlebotomy Certification (CPTI/CPTII) and BLS.

Formación

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; two years of college in biological sciences, chemistry or equivalent preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: California Phlebotomy Certification - CPTI or CPTII; BLS certification.
• Minimum one year experience in a clinical laboratory or anatomic pathology lab preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Draw blood from inpatients and outpatients and ER patients when needed.
• Perform venipuncture using standard procedures.
• Process and label specimens; prepare paperwork for clinical assays.
• Maintain asepsis and safety in all lab activities.
• Stock, store, and distribute supplies; assist in clerical duties as needed.
