Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Lab Support Technician I to assist the provider care team with reports, data, and scheduling functions within the laboratory. You will ensure accurate, timely lab support and exhibit excellent customer service in all interactions, while safeguarding patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, processing, transport, and referrals as required, under supervision during the probationary period, aligning with Mercy service standards and mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain HIPAA confidentiality and follow lab policies.
• Strong customer service skills and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Acquire laboratory specimens for testing using approved methods.
• Process, transport and refer specimen reports as required.
• Provide accurate, timely laboratory support and documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with Mercy standards and policies.
