Responsibilities include reviewing requisitions for completeness, ensuring proper patient data and signatures, and transferring test information to medical records.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Familiarity with medical terminology helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet laboratory patients, providers, and clients at the Lab Customer Service desk.
• Process laboratory requisitions for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure required documentation including signatures, patient data, and order date.
• Enter test requests into the system according to procedure.
• Transfer test information to medical records.
• Receive and route lab reports via fax, mail, or hand-delivery.
• Relate STAT results promptly by phone or fax.
• Prepare specimens for designated departments and route by type.
• Complete paperwork and non-technical steps to submit specimens.
