Job summary

TriCore is New Mexico’s largest laboratory and offers a range of benefits, including 401(k) matching and paid time off. The Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist position at PRMC Surgery Center provides an opportunity to work with multiple modalities and advance through CLA levels based on experience.

Salary is hourly, with schedule Monday–Friday 0900–1630 and potential additional shifts. Immunization and driving eligibility are required, and apprenticeship options may be available for those

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification preferred (ASCP) — PBT or equivalent.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibit basic problem solving to ensure patient care service levels.
• Responsible for hospital communication responsibilities including on-call during scheduled hours.
