Jackson Purchase Medical Center, Acute Laboratory Assistant, Acute, Full Time | Varied in Mayfield, Kentucky, is seeking a dedicated professional to perform phlebotomy and basic laboratory duties within an integrated hospital system.

The role supports specimen collection, processing, and reporting, with responsibilities spanning inventory, safety, and clerical tasks to ensure timely Turn Around Times and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of previous experience in phlebotomy preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy duties.
• Assists with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens.
• Maintains adequate stock of supplies.
• Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.
• Performs clerical duties including answering phones, data entry, and filing.
• Communicates test results to appropriate healthcare providers.
