Wood County Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Lab Support Technician to join our team on a full-time, days schedule at the Main Hospital in Bowling Green, OH.

The role focuses on accurate collection, processing, and management of laboratory specimens while delivering excellent customer service and supporting daily laboratory operations. Responsibilities include obtaining specimens from outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings, verifying requirements, and assisting with quality improvement

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Preferred phlebotomy training with clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect specimens across outpatient, inpatient and ED settings.
• Verify specimen and test requirements; instruct patients on self-collection when needed.
• Process and manage specimens using lab information systems; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate recollection and resolve specimen/order discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain safety culture and participate in quality improvement activities.
