Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist Group Lead in Escondido, CA. This role requires a state phlebotomy license and seven years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections. The position is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with potential performance bonuses.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, ensuring accurate data entry, and handling patient interactions while supporting PSC/IOP operations across the region.

Qualifications

• State phlebotomy license required to work in CA (NHA license not accepted).
• Seven years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric/geriatric collections.
• Must be able to travel to multiple locations and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures at PSC/IOP locations.
• Lead and mentor PSR team, coach new employees, ensure timely processing of orders.
• Verify patient demographics and annotations on labels post-venipuncture for accuracy.
