Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Austin, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist Group Lead to oversee patient service operations across PSC, Mobile, and In-Office locations. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with rotational weekends, and offers a pay range of $28.30+ per hour plus potential bonuses based on performance.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs, coordinating with supervisors, and maintaining accurate patient data across high-volume sites.

Qualifications

• Seven years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening).
• Lead PSR operations on-site, coach and mentor staff.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and data; ensure accuracy of patient information.
• Assist with onboarding new staff and coordinating with supervisors across regions.
• Travel to Territory Manager meetings as needed.
• Support special projects and cross-functional teams.
