Job summary

TriCore, New Mexico’s largest laboratory, is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist for Rust Hospital. The role involves independent work with supervision, performing multiple modalities, and potential apprenticeship for those without experience.

Regular attendance during scheduled hours is essential. The position supports an on-call schedule, weekends, and holidays, with compensation based on modalities performed.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Completion of a relevant Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibits basic problem solving skills to ensure exceptional customer and patient care service levels.
• Responsible for hospital communication responsibilities and on-call duties by location.
