Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist for Rust Hospital. The role requires performing phlebotomy and clerical functions, with on-call responsibilities and a focus on patient care. Training may occur for new staff and apprentices.

The position offers hourly pay with a schedule Sunday to Wednesday, including weekends and holidays, and requires valid driver’s license and eligibility to work in a healthcare facility.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibits basic problem solving skills to ensure customer and patient care standards.
• Responsible for hospital communication responsibilities including on-call duties by location.
• Demonstrates effective telephone and verbal communication skills.
