Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of lab setting experience including phlebotomy and EKG preferred.
• Certification such as ASCP or NCA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately obtain venous or capillary specimens following physician orders.
• Independently collect specimens and correctly identify patients.
• Perform EKGs on outpatients and maintain lab documentation.
• Communicate test information clearly to patients and staff.
• Assist with specimen processing and ensure proper storage.
